My First bike was a Yamaha GT80 I got for 15 bucks when I was 11 or 12. My dad and I got it running and he had to take the first ride. Well the throttle stuck on him in second gear and with nowhere to go (we were in the middle of a big field) he for some reason decided to bail. The bike stayed upright and accelerated with no rider for about a hundred yards into the 2 ft. thick foundation of a barn. Mom was not happy and I was never allowed to get a bike again or at least until I was 18 and kept it hidden from her.

I was hanging out at Arnold’s and the Fonz came riding up and was like “Aaaaay”, and then I was like “Aaaaaay” and then he was like “Aaaaaay” and then I was like ”Aaaaaay…how about letting me ride that Triumph”? He was like, “Woah!!” and then walked away in disgust to do some “business” in his “office”. Once he was out of sight, I hopped on that Triumph and fired it up. 4½ seconds later I ended up lo-siding it and lodging it under the dumpster out back. It was great.

Describe your first time
|

I putted around on a Honda 3 wheeler for a while, then one day (I was 13ish), my brother decided it was time for me to try his 80. I put on all his gear and went on my merry way. Second time around, I grabbed too much front brake and crashed. No, I fell over I wasn’t going fast enough to call it a crash. I’m always happy when I can make people laugh; I succeeded that day.

I was ten, and it happened on a Honda ATC70. I was instructed by my cousin not to use third gear, but I did. I lost complete control, hooked one of the rear tires on a tree, and flipped it end over end.
First ride, first crash, first rash…in a matter of seconds.

Wes Orloff, he’s only the hottest fast guy I know! Alright…so I may be a little biased… Ben Bostrom, not Eric, just Ben… some guys just look good going fast AND, I would also have to add Nicky Hayden because at the 2005 Laguna Seca MotoGP, I asked him autograph Wes’s very well worn & faded Lucky Repsol hat, which he did a double take on but auto graphed anyway. I believe that’s why he won his first GP right there at Laguna… |
